Sony has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid 4 is an exclusive title for PlayStation 3. The announcement came at Sony's E3 conference with the appearance of Hideo Kojima. He revealed that MGS4 would be released worldwide in spring 2008.
Kojima added that this game is going to be the finale to the Metal Gear series and said that although it was a stealth game, it would be built around different elements - such as using dynamic cover on the battlefield. According to several media the trailer shown at the press conference was very impressive.
Argh! Let it be 2008 quick!

A new Viva Piñata game has been revealed by Microsoft at it's E3 conference. However, it won't be a sequel developed by Rare. Krome Studios has been chosen to bring the series in a totally new direction. The new game will be a party game including 40 mini-games inspired by the paper creatures from the animated television series.
The game is scheduled for release this Christmas and four friends can play at the same time both offline and online over Live.
Microsoft has also announced the original Viva Piñata for PC. This will feature Windows Live support. A release date has not been given.

THQ plans to release two new Destroy All Humans! games. Their announcement comes just before this year's E3 and it's expected that we're going to get more details during the games conference. The first of these new games will be released on Wii, PS2 and PSP and is called Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed. You'll play as alien protagonist Crypto and travel by spaceship, on foot or gigantic mechanised robot-shaped vehicle. The game makes use of the motion-sensing abilities of the Wiimote and is going to be released early 2008.
The second new game is Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon. The story happens after Big Willy Unleashed and this game is announced for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only. Here you'll once again play as protagonist Crypto in his mission to learn Kung Fu. Sounds like great fun! It's also scheduled for release early next year.
It's expected that both games will be filled with comedy - continuing the tradition from the first two games on PS2 and Xbox.

Rumours say that Tomb Raider Anniversary is heading to Xbox 360. The game has already been released or confirmed on PC, PS2, PSP and Wii and is basically a remake of the first game in the series released about 11 years ago.
The rumours come from the Entertainment Software Ratings Board website where the game has been listed for Microsoft's console. It suggests that four different missions - or maps - will be released - probably through Live Marketplace as add-ons for Tomb Raider: Legend.
No release date has been given yet and Eidos has yet to confirm the Xbox 360 version of the anniversary. The game is out now on PC and PlayStation 2 nonetheless. Try it out!

Ooooh no, it wasn't true at all. It was just a rumour and now Capcom apologises for the inconvenience misleading people into believing Killer 7 was heading to Wii. What a shame. Although the stylish game from 2005 was never a big hit for Capcom on GameCube it could've been fun to participate in the gun combat using the Wiimote.
Grasshopper Manufacture was responsible for the original GameCube and PlayStation 2 versions of Killer 7 - and they have already three projects in the works. One called No More Heroes for Wii and two additional unnamed projects.

Yeah! The smartest Danish invention ever returns for yet another Star Wars adventure. In celebration of 30 years of Star Wars Activision has planned to release another LEGO video game. The game is called The Complete Saga and will feature bits from all six films. It will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS this November.
Traveller's Tales is developing the game, which it claims will be the biggest and most expansive in the series. More than 160 characters will be available and new levels will be introduced. The biggest addition is said to be two-player jump-in co-operative gameplay through Xbox Live and PS3 Online. A very promising feature.
I just can't wait. I love LEGO! Don't we all?

A adress to a website in the back of the Spider-Man 3 game manual leads to an Activision website! The mysterious site contains details of a game called Spider-Man: Friend or Foe. The website reveals that the game is scheduled for release this autumn and appears to be based on the Spider-Man movie universe.
Activision has no comments to the website - at least not for now. Nonetheless it is possible to sign up for more information.

The Spider-Man 3 video game feels both rushed and tedious. I've played the game a couple of hours, and while swinging through Manhattan is quite fun, the camera and gameplay are frustrating. Even on Xbox 360 the graphics have some glitches and frame-rate issues.
The movie is great, the game is a disappointment. Spider-Man 3 is for hardcore fans only!

The development team behind upcoming Splinter Cell: Conviction, which is exclusive for Xbox 360, have stated to a Finnish magazine that working on a PlayStation 3 version would rather slow the development. Why? Because the hardware couldn't handle the project. It seems like Xbox 360 allows the team to do more than if the game was multiplatform.
Yikes. This is a tough one to swallow, Sony! Splinter Cell: Conviction is due out on both Xbox 360 and PC, Windows Vista to be more specific, later this year.
