For the first time Take-Two has shown GTA IV to the public through an actual demo at this year's E3. The demo was primary a presentation of driving around Liberty City, which was described as "similar in scope to GTA: San Andreas, but intense in details, not only horizontally but vertically".

According to Strauss Zelnick from Take-Two the game is going to set new standard in interactive entertainment. The company are not resting on their laurels, but are looking to redefine the genre. The fourth Grand Theft Auto game is one of the most anticipated titles of the year and is scheduled for release October 16 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

At the press conference Take-Two did not mention Manhunt 2, which leaves its future unknown.

Ubisoft has released a new multiplayer demo for the PC version of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. Head over to the official website for a list of download mirrors - it weighs in at just over a gigabyte!

The demo includes the PC-exclusive map Calavera in Recon vs. Assault and Team Deathmatch. If you own a PC and have been waiting a long time for the tactical squad-based shooter for your platform, you will get a map editor, a new multiplayer mode and a more tactical experience, according to the developers.

The game is released on 29th June.

If you haven't tried Shadowrun yet, then you should do that immediately through Xbox Live Marketplace. According to the official Shadowrun forums a demo has been released, weighing in at approximately 1.07 GB.

The Xbox 360 demo includes the first three training chapters, bot and online multiplay, the Power Station level, Elf and Human races, four types of magic, three types of tech, and six weapons including the katana.

The game was released last week and is an online multiplayer game derived from the pen-and-paper RPG series of the same name. One of the primary features is the possibility for PC and Xbox 360 owners to play against each other on the same servers. Download the demo now. It's definitely worth trying before buying!

Well, I couldn't let this one get past me. Halo 3 is more popular than Bungie and the rest of the world could have ever expected. The number of players when the Beta went live last week was impressive 610,000 users within the first 24 hours - and 500,000 people are still playing every day. Woow!

I think all the records will be beaten when the game is released September 26!

There's some exciting news from Microsoft today. They have announced that the Halo 3 mulitplayer beta will go live from May 16 trhough June 7. New weapons, levels, game types and vehicles will be available for those who have access to the beta. Here's the information from Eurogamer:

The maps available will be Snowbound, High Ground and Valhalla, while you'll get to pootle around in the Mongoose all-terrain vehicle, using the new Assault Rifle, the Brute Spiker, the Spartan Laser and Spike Grenades to take one another out.

Beta access have been available through competitions and by buying a specially marked copy of Crackdown, which Microsoft reckons there are still a few left of.

Although this is exciting news, I would also deem it as the worst news of the day (or 2007) since I don't have beta access. And I want access. Now.

Microsoft Game Studios have confirmed that a demo for Forza Motorsport 2 will be arriving "soon" at Xbox Live Marketplace. The game's release date have also been scheduled for release on May 15.
