I'm one of them. One of those dedicated fanboys who plays every single free of charge multiplayer game. BOTS by Acclaim is one of the better ones. It doesn't cost a thing to play, and more than one million players have registered since its release last November.

CEO of Acclaim, Howard Marks, thinks the recent milestone of one millioner registered players justifies the free to play business model,

"One million players says it all, our fans want multiplayer social games using the free to play model"

Eidos and Funcom have opened beta signups for their upcoming MMORPG Age of Conan, and are giving away exclusive beta keys at some of the high profile gaming sites.
